Raven Newsom

I grew up in a disc golf family. My dad is a great disc golf player and my older brother Anthony Hauf is currently sponsored by MVP. I started going to play with my dad and brother when I was almost 4 years old. By the time I was 6 I began to play doubles in our local club (wncdga).

By the time I made it to high school I could throw 350 on a FH and 300 on a backhand. I realized I wanted to start playing tournaments and I got a pdga number and played with my older brother and friends. I eventually pushed myself to be better than the average player. Now I throw a forehand 400 and some change and I can putt from a long distance.

Disc golf has changed my life and now I’m taking it with me as I go through college. I play on the NC State Wolfpack team and love it dearly. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration and I can’t wait to see what next year will bring with my MVP sponsorship!
